New Year…New Opportunities

Welcome to a new year of SoundView Services and to our new simplified website. 2018 has already given indications of growth beyond 2017, which surpassed 2016, which surpassed 2015 and so forth. A nice pattern to see, to be sure.

We have already been booked for events in cities new to our corporate history like Missoula, Santa Fe, Carbondale, Gulf Shores, Pensacola, and other repeat cities like Tampa, Dallas, Houston, Reno, Baltimore, Morristown, Indy and others. We boast an enhanced inventory of modern sound, lighting and projection gear including a line-array sound system from Eastern Acoustic Works (EAW) designed to cover medium-large scale indoor and outdoor music festivals for several thousand in attendance. Its debut gig was a private event featuring the 8-piece Chris Weaver Band from Nashville at the Red Bull Air Races at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway in October. We barely pushed 3/4’s of the system but amply covered the required space including the famed Brickyard. We already have several bookings for this enhanced service in 2018.

Equally exciting for me are the opportunities developing in our very own Town of Leesburg and Loudoun County. With our office recently moving into the Town’s Historic District we were commissioned to provide sound and specialty lighting for the Town’s Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony. A cello quartet was handled by Oktavia condenser and Shure instrument mics, a 30 piece middle-school choir was ably picked up by Shure SM81 condenser mics and various prerecorded tracks played behind a holiday themed dance company performance.  Mayor Kelly Burk ably emceed the event and called for the lighting of a Menorah and large holiday tree.

We were later privileged to provide a video recording of the Leesburg Presbyterian Church choir and quartet performing holiday classics

At the storefront part of the office we are now hosting a world-class Art Gallery (delandtsheerart.com) that is also able to host small receptions and gatherings. Just last week we comfortably hosted a rehearsal dinner for 65 people.

They were surrounded by stunning Belgian chandelier artwork from the team of Kevin Delandtsheer and Walter Duportail along with powerful bronze sculptures from Jan Desmarets. This event venue is accepting bookings for 2018.

Visit us during regular Gallery hours of 11am-6pm Saturday and Sunday or call or email to set up a private showing or to explore an event booking. The office and Gallery address is 2-B Loudoun St SW, Leesburg, Virginia 20175.
